Stress is a mental or psychological state of mind when a person undergoes a some unfavourable or unwanted factors which exceed his/her ability to cope with and cause tension in the mind that give rise to several severe diseases as its side effect. It vary from human to human. The events causing stress are never stressfull. It is the way that an individual interpret and react to it, which make those events stressfull.
Fortunately there are ways to get relief of stress, which we called stress management.
Stress management
Stress management is the technique to cope with such unwanted or unfavourable situations without getting stressed or the ability to keep the mental condition to calm state to feel emotionally relaxed and improve the behavioral skill.
Though stress is good for us, because it helps us to redefine our ability to perform better everytime, but sometimes it proves to have bad effect when we doesnot able to cope with the existing stress and it make us sick.
To manage stress, it is compulsory for us to understand stress, its cause, symptoms etc.
What happens in our body during stress?
There are lots of things that is going on while we have stress. The stress reaction begins in our body with the outpouring of a stimulant hormone Adrenalin in our blood. Adrenalin with other stress hormones alert our senses to be protective against the event causing stress. All our senses get alert and prepare for a extreme situation of either fighting or run away from the stress causing factor.
The changes associate with increasing heart rate due to increase of blood pressure. The blood tends to provide more supply towards heart, muscle, brain by diminishing blood supply to less vital areas like kidney, digestive tracks, skin etc. In addition to this the blood clotting factor within the blood gets increased to prevent hemorrhage during injury. The increase of blood sugar, fats and other energy supplying factors get increased to provide more energy and strength. The body tends to intake more oxygen with faster breathing rate.
Symptoms of stress
There are several symptoms that are being noticed while someone is experiencing stress. These symptoms fall into few catagories and a person experiencing stress can show more than one symptoms among those mentioned below.

- Anxiety
- Scared
- Irritability
- Short tempered
- Angry
- Moody
- Depression
Thoughts/ Mental -
- Low self esteem
- Lack/irritating feelings in concentrating

- Nervous habbit like nail biting, foot tapping
